Of late I’ve been getting back into watching a favourite tv series, Spooks since i have the first three of the series on dvd. It is for me just about my favourite tv show, gritty and exciting although in the later episodes it does have a nasty habit of writing many of the main characters out of the show whether by death or other misfortune. That in my books is a bad habit for any tv show as when its a good show, I tend to get a little attached to the characters and when they are killed, I get what is known in the trade as Sad. Sad is bad, sad is better avoided. Sad is sad.

One of the guest actors from some of the episodes seemed familiar. He had a pompous name of Jools Siviter. He was arrogant, stuck up, self opinionated and they were just the characters good characteristics. Only when i was watching House M.D. did I realise that take away the Limp, Cane and Medical degree and add the person being a senior spy for MI6 and you had Dr House. Hugh Laurie, the actor who plays House also played Jools Siviter. Just about the same character in fact.

If I could cross Alias with Spooks I think i might just about have the perfect drama. Unless more of Sydney’s family show up.
