Last night I had the pleasure of Suzi’s company for a few short hours, its never long enough but i take what i can get. We had dinner in an African restuarant which was pleasant enough although over priced. Strangely the only African in the place was a guy playing some african instrument that to our hearing at least sounded all the same. The manager was a white Aussie guy and the waitress a lady of very recent Asian origin whose accent and grasp of the language reflected that. I don’t mind, its just strange to find in an African restuarant.
After that it was down the block and around the corner to the movies where we saw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which was described was a comedy/crime thriller/action combination. It turned out to be an interesting and entertaining muddle that defies description. There was violence, nudity and Val Kilmer looking quite fat. All but the last bit was entertaining and refreshingly different and we both enjoyed the movie.
After the movie it was end of our night and home we went. It was timely that we managed to get together as tomorrow is the 12 year anniversary of Suzi and I meeting on an army course on the 27th November 1993, she was 19 and I was 21 and the rest is history.

I saw KKBB last weekend and wrote a review on The London Project.
I liked it too. Probably for different reasons though, unless you have sexual fantasies about Robert Downey Jr!

Claire, if wishful thinking worked then yes she would be but no we are good friends who enjoy each others company. We met and dated briefly before breaking up and remaining friends. We served together for several years in a posting with me her boss briefly.
And no - i have no Robert Downey Jr Fantasys. I did think Michelle Monaghan (who played Harmony) was somewhat attractive though

:’( Well its much better to remain good friends than mess everything up by dating, eh? In fact I have a theory, I think we should all date people we don’t rate and keep those we do as mates and then nothing can go wrong!!
Didn’t see look like Liv Tyler?!

Yes that can sometimes be the case but by the same token if you get involved after a long friendship then you have to be ahead of people that head straight into a relationship.
And hell yeah, i thought for a while it was actually Liv

I don’t care. It’s still wishful thinking for me. I’ve been reading your blog for so long now. I’m waiting for the entry that finally says you and suzi are getting married. Yes, I know I will be waiting a long time, but I know its gonna happen. I swear it. 12 years! come on. some people dont even stay married that long!.

LOL - just as long as your not holding your breath, you will have well and truely turned blue before there is any chance of that happening, wishful thinking aside lol.
