To end my week of computer mishaps, i experienced one just before midnight that took a while to fix. I was trying to speed up the sluggish performance of the programs on a partition doing defrags and turning off indexing (which strangely keeps turning itself on) . Its the later that got me into trouble that i then thought naturally it would be a good idea to allow disc cleanup to remove the catalog files for the content indexer. Nice theory, done it plenty of times in the past as it frees up space and gets rid of unwanted crap on the drive.
As i said, nice theory and it certainly did, removing everything but one folder and two icons and the other 6 gb on the drive gone. Now thats a disk cleanup!
