There was a death in the family today and while its been coming for a while now, to be honest it lacked some dignity if there is such a thing in death, preferring to instead to linger and die slowly. Over the last month it experienced declining health, becoming tired quickly to the point sometimes it couldn’t even operate when fresh and rested. Never the less it was a shock to find my ipod had finally died completely and its especially sad that I don’t have the dollars to buy a new one.
Now i know that an ipod sounds like a luxury item, that one can live without it but its a tool to retain my sanity. On the bus to and from work there are the usual idiots that drive you mad including the one that never shuts up about the kindergarden parents and friends and the school kids that just never shut up full stop in their endless competition of who can be the loudest. At work there are the idiots that try to speak with authority and only prove with authority that they are an idiot. Thats why i am starting the Greg’s Replacement Ipod Fund. Give generiously, give often and feel free to take out a second mortage (kidding).
And best of all, they now come in black!

A minute of silence, please.
RIP Greg’s iPod.
I found another use for it this Christmas: use it while shopping so you don’t have to listen to Christmas carols! Evil, I know…

Good lord, they haven’t even been around that long and it died? How did that happen?

Chicky, doesn’t sound evil. More like the most sensible thing when faced with such prospects!
Nikki, it was on its last legs for a while with the battery stuffed for a while but now it seems have died completely as it won’t work even when connected to the charger which suggests something other than the battery
