Today was the finish of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race with Wild Oats winning in record time. In similar record time i was up early to see it sail up the Derwent River. Saddly while i was up and watching my digital camera really isn’t that good and there aren’t therefore pictures of some of the great views that i watched from. Maybe one day when i make some cold hard cash from blogging I’ll be able to afford a decent camera and take some decent shots.
Strangely trying to take some pictures this morning i suffered that most terrible of photographers affliction, pogo crowds. Everytime i tried to take a picture it seemed some pogo person would pop up into the picture and down again. Almost invariably they were wearing some unfashionable hat and it did make me wonder if they were the evolutionary offspring of the curse of the roads, the hat driver.
And now, here it is 9.30am. I’ve been up for 4 hours and am ready for a nap. The dog is confused having seen me get up and go and then come home again and all before he had finished his breakfast. Somehow i think he will battle through.
I have photos of the finish here
