I seem to have developed an unusual problem, i keep getting dumped right before major relationship days, day before new years eve …. dumped. Day before Valentines … yeah dumped again.
Probably the most used and tired expressions used would have to be “Its not you, its me”. Its supposed to leave the other person feeling good about themselves even if they have just been dumped but along the way its come to lack sincerity as people use it instead of telling the truth.
Pam and i didn’t last long, she decided her life was too full and complicated and so we could only stay good friends. It was a “Its not me, its you” but it was … different. She meant it and while she doesn’t want the relationship, she does want to stay good friends and went to great pains to make sure that i knew that. We also spoke for 3 hours on the phone last night and I’m going to her place tomorrow night to watch a dvd or two. I think it has all the signs that we will stay good friends which isn’t so bad, you can never have enough friends.

Better to know at the start than to have your heart broken later. At least she was honest, and wants you as a friend. Can’t have too many of those!
