I spotted this article on my web travels which says in part:
Ramirez is blind, yet she and dozens of other visually impaired sophomores in Chicago schools are required to pass a written rules-of-the-road exam in order to graduate — a rule they say takes time away from subjects they might actually use.
What it means is blind people who will not be able to drive never the less have to pass the rules of the road test which is part of getting their drivers licence. I just hope they don’t make the practical side compulsory as well!
