I have a problem. In everyone’s life there is a puzzle that no matter how hard you try, you will never solve. It bugs you, drives you mad. You stay up late until you can’t focus on the problem at hand and it haunts your sleeping hours. For different people its different things but regardless of what it is, it feels the same. For me its wireless networking.
I’ve spent many hours of my life trying to get my wireless network working. My laptop is equiped with wireless networking and i have a wireless router but no matter what I do and what set of instructions I there is a key point that things go … wrong. It can be the stage where the instructions say log into the modem using this IP address … or the stage where the computer that i am setting up suddenly looses the ability to talk to the outside world or similar just when your setting up networking and really need the computer to communicate with something else the most.

It’s actually not as difficult as you think. I thought the same thing when I first went wireless. Here are a few tips. They may or may not help you. Grab a LAN cable, the one that came with the wireless laptop, and plug it in the main port on the router (modem) and the other end to your laptop. Open up internet explorer and type in the IP address that they provide you. This will bring you to the interface where you can set up your modem. The instructions should be ablet o guide you the rest of the way.

Why torture yourself? Get a pro in to do it.

Ken, yeah thats what is supposed to do as per its instructions but the router refuses any attempts to log into the router.
Sreph - maybe because pros want money while if i stick with my blue network cables they cost nothing

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I’d help you out, but its hard to figure out a solution when you’re not actually looking at the problem. Best of luck.
