Well thats it, the Commonwealth Games have finished and will be reappearing in 4 years time in Delhi, India. When it comes to sport, nothing makes us Australians happier than to be winning at sport and thanks to the outstanding performance of our athletes our ego is soothed nicely in shades of Gold. I guess melbourne people are relieved as the city will start going back to normal with only The Australian Grand Prix to stop a total slide back to normality.

Now a question for those Australians that watched the closing ceremony, was Dame Edna Everidge funny? I thought not but then i don’t find Barry Humpries funny at the best time and when it comes to watch is shown to the rest of the world about Australia, i really wish they could find someone better than a man in drag to convey it to the world. I guess my only hope is that Barry Humpries retires one day soon because otherwise it might be me up in the light tower with a rifle and scope next time he pokes his head up to be unfunny once again.

To be honest i’m pleased that things are going back to normal with large numbers of CSI shows on tv and the chance to watch a dvd without feeling i am not supporting my fellow Australians. The AFL starts this week and all is as it should be once again on my tv.
