I was lying in bed watching the AFL football on tv and i realised something, i really don’t know much about football and that i should blog about it. An Aussie guy from the southern states (and central & western states) not knowing much about football is post worthy, at least to allow him to be scoffed at and ridiculed by Aussies that do know something about football.

Leaving the idea to sit and fester a little, the idea has since developed a little to the point that i thought maybe it could be not just a blog entry but an on going chance to ridicule and humiliate me and that i should make an entire blog for just such an opportunity and call it something catchy like Footy Fool or similar.

Then another idea occurred to me quite unexpectedly and i thought it such a good idea that it should also be made public so that people can see once and for all that i am a fool. A fool should have company. Its at this point that i decided that i shouldn’t go it alone. So here is the deal. If people are interested from the next round starting next week, i’m looking for fellow tipsters to join me in making a fool of myself in a football tipping competition via the group blog. The less you know about football is probably the better so let me know if your interested in joining and i’ll set you up to be able to post to the tipping blog. The only stipulation i will make is that i have to know you via the blog world, whether it be via livejournal or your blog or a friend of a friend so if i don’t know you and i should in your opinion then also let me know! Leave a comment and make it known you want to be part of this new …. thing.

Oh and why start a tipping competition in round 5? Because we don’t know much about footy of course!
