I saw the headline on this article today and was admitedly a little confused. Was the smaller cousin of the Kangaroo becoming some caped crusader defending the weak and upholding the values of good in its endless battle against its arch enemies the superbug?
So it was with some disappointment that i read the article to discover that actually there aren’t caped crusaders out in the bush defending our way of life and occassionally becoming road kill and instead it goes more like this
Victorian researchers have stumbled upon a possible weapon against super bugs such as golden staph - wallaby milk.
Researchers from the Department of Primary Industries were examining wallaby milk when they discovered it contained a compound 100 times more effective than penicillin.
Victorian Agriculture Minister Bob Cameron says it could be a real breakthrough in treating disease-causing bacteria.
I prefer my version but you can read the full article and decide for yourself i guess.
