Quiet day at home for me today on the Anzac Day public holiday. Usually i go to a dawn service but this year the combination of work leaving me feeling very run down lately and a touch of the flu left me thinking that it would be better this year to stay home as i’ve not got the the time to get sick with work the way that things are going lately.

There is some excitement in the family today because we are eagerly waiting the arrival of the newest member of our family and to be honest i’m looking forward to the patter of little feet around the place once again. My sister’s family has adopted a 7 week old labrador/border collie puppy who is getting picked up today from the dogs home. His apparantly all black and likely to be called Marley.

Actually it will be an interesting experience because my young niece is dog phobic. Grissom scares her half to death so despite recent improvements apparantly with a friends dog. Things might be "interesting" for a while.
