After my last post about elderly drivers not being able to drive. Maybe i was tough but maybe not. But then later in the evening i discovered that I found that i had developed my very own driving problem. As reguar readers would be aware my computer skills are not too bad, i modify my blog template, manage to install my own software and have even dabbled in minor programming and so this makes it all the more embarrassing to admit.
I faced one of those problems that hardly ever happen. There is stuff that i wanted to watch on three different channels right now (4 if you count that Pam records Supernatural that we watch when i go to her place every week) and while i can usually get by using my DVD/Hard Drive i needed to go to an extreme new level, i had to pull my old vcr out of the cupboard and plug it back in. This is where i discovered somewhere in the last year or more i’ve forgotten how to turn the vcr into the tv stations and even tune the tv to be able to watch the vcr. I eventually managed to muddle my way through and even sort out a tuning problem (if you want a clear picture its always better to actually plug the aerial in!)
They say confession is good for the soul but i just feel … dumb. I didn’t used to have problems plugging in and working my vcr and tv. I just must be getting really old. Can’t even work the simple things anymore. Good news though is that my driving skills are still ok thanks to an opportunity to do advanced driving techniques. Oh and i don’t drive a volvo.
