My good mate Dean just left 5 minutes ago after coming over to drink some of my beer and watch footy on the tv. It seems that the trial seperation with his wife is to become permanent. After ten years together and barely three months married they have officially decided to call things quits for good. While i am not suprised i am never the less disappointed to find out. Since they have split i’ve found out more of what had been happening over the last three years and its no suprise why it happened, only that he didn’t walk out sooner.
He also stopped to by to tell me something else. Not the cause of the break up but that he thinks that maybe he and Pam might soon try things out as a couple and rather than just find out later, he wanted to tell me up front. I appreciate the gesture even though as far as dating goes Pam and I after a brief time are now well and truely over and remain firm friends. If truth me told they would be a better match than she and I ever were so while things might feel a little odd briefly, in the long term things shouldn’t change any.

Oh my god…why did he get married in the first place? and hooking up with someone before the ink on the marriage certificate is even properly dry, let alone divorce paper ink!!

I know how you feel beause I’m going through it with close friends at the moment. People don’t usually understand how much it affects friends around the couple.

Aphrodite – he hung on thinking that it was just premarriage nerves and thinking that it would get better after they got married. Instead it got worse with the wife having mental problems that produced depression and paranoia. She is getting treatment but its done the relationship in that they are going to try to stay friends but even that might not work.
Chicky – it can’t help but affect those around the couple as things change and sometimes friends get divided up or forced to take sides. No fun at all.
