I haven’t had the chance to comment until now but i find myself quite amused in relation to rescued miners Todd Russell and Brant Webb’s huge media deal with Channel Seven and New Idea. They have if reports are true been offered $2.75 million for the story and i’m not sure what the network and magazine get for that, probably just about the chance to shove them back in the hole i expect.

But by far the highlight for me is that it comes on the back of efforts earlier in the week by the smug channel nine chief Eddie McGuire to breeze into Beaconsfield, buy the bar a round of drinks and expect to brazenly walk off with the media contract. Its indeed a glorious day when the smug get knocked down a rung or two. They never get knocked all the way to the bottom but i can always dream a little. Or a lot. I guess they have the take home version of Who wants to be a millionaire.
