Its been a pleasurable saturday. I jumped in the car like last saturday and just went where ever i felt like along the road in front of me. In the end i ended up in the other end of the state and visited a small town that has been recently been made world famous, Beaconsfield. On the tv coverage it looked like quite a big town with the mine stuck smack bang in the middle with a great big tall tower over the mine shaft. Anyway thats how it looked on tv to me. So it was somewhat of a suprise to discover that the town was a lot smaller than i expected, for the most part just on either side of the road and that big mine tower … well that wasn’t really so big afterall. Like most mining towns that i have been to it also seemed to have a disproportionate number of pubs for its size. Its also situated in a lovely part of the world near the river and when i was there it was still with pleasant reflections. I decided not to take any pictures there this time, the place has been photographed and videoed enough for a while.
Other than that it was just places i had been before. There was of course for any long trip the obiligatory volvo driver to prove a nuisance. Today’s was one that appeared to not know how to overtake other cars. They would speed past me on the overtaking lanes and then after the lane finished get caught behind a slower car and just sit there. So then to get past i would have to overtake both and then next overtaking lane same thing again. I wonder what it is about volvos that makes their drivers so … bad?
