I’ve been reading around the place that there is a controversy raging around the internet and several countries. According to many articles including this one the story goes something like this:

A Nepalese Sherpa briefly removed all his clothes atop Mt Everest to set a record of sorts on the world’s tallest peak, according to local media reports.

Lakpa Tharke Sherpa, 25, from Khumjung in eastern Nepal, stripped naked on the 8,848 metre summit for three minutes on Wednesday, the reports said.

Other than probably not being the best idea doing so where you can get frost bite in places where you really don’t want it, its also caused other dramas including upset a god:

“Mount Everest, also known as Chomulungma, is a holy mountain for us. What he has done is extremely shameful for the whole country,”
