Yesterday there was a nation wide ADSL effecting many of the nations ISPs including mine when i expect some telstra technician tripped over a cable and inadvertently unplugged everyone who connects via a telstra dslam (the hardware that sits in the telephone exchange to plug adsl into). Outages like this seem to happen a lot more often than you would expect in this day of computers and an "always on" methodology. I only know because my ISP publishes every outage via its RSS feed whether its a nationwide outage or a suspected outage in outback bumfluck and that for some strange reason every outage Telstra does a broadcast fax telling us of the outage which ends up on my desk at work.
So outages come and outages go, its part of having the internet and while sometimes it can prove frustrating or agrevating in the longrun i just accept it. It seems however the gods of computers were not looking out for me. Yesterday afternoon i was on a half day off and had just got home, logged on and made a disasterous change to my blog template that left things looking rather … poorly shall we say. So in desperation i reversed what i did, pressed save and the internet died. What followed was nervous refreshing of my browser to try and discover whether infact i had rescued my blog from template horror or whether there were visitors coming to see what looked like an abortion. A poor template reflects badly on the blogger you see.
In the end when my adsl came to life again, all had saved. But now i find myself considering a change of template and i worry what if …

Chicky, i suddenly worry bad things have happened and i will never get back online - that people will worry . That sort of thing lol
