Today was a strange kind of day at work. I had one thing that i wanted to start as soon as i got to work and instead it took 5 1/2 hours to get to it because i was just that busy I couldn’t even begin to consider the merest possibility of even the faintest chance of actually being able to start it. Or something like that. Mercifully the afternoon died off along with my motivation to do any work and so i ended up taking an early minute.
There is only one real problem with taking early minutes and that is catching the bus home. Out of peak hours the bus home can be a far slower and more torturous journey filled with the perils of noisy school kids and longer slower meandering bus routes that take longer to get home on. Today’s bus was one such experience and instead of my realitively straight through bus route it wound its way through backstreets before finally depositing me at my bus stop.
The thing that i noticed was that some of the area i went through was either run down or had been renovated, usually badly and somewhat tackily in parts. And from the bus i could look in windows quite a lot. I didn’t want to be a voyuer but faced with the prospect of looking out the window or looking at the freaks in the bus i was left with no choice, voyuerism it was.
What they needed was blinds like they have at Guaranteed Blinds. I looked through their catalogue and there were blinds i could see there that would have changed the situation for the better (and left me with no choice but to look at the bus freaks!). I’ve always been a fan of wooden blinds and when i eventually buy a place of my own i would like to have wooden blinds on the windows. I prefer them to curtains. Out of curiousity i was reading the installation instructions on Guaranteed Blinds and it looks like even someone like myself that is challenged using tools of any kind could do it just fine.
Just a word of warning, when i visited guaranteed blinds the sound inbedded in their website sounds a lot like the alarm sound i have set in my computer - don’t panic, its just the website. K?
This was a paid post for Blogsvertise but i stress that the story is my own and is all true. There were freaks on my bus. No they were not relatives
work, humor, windows, buses, freaks,
