I was just reading the article Building a better blogsphere that i followed a link to from Matt Mullenweg’s blog and had to chuckle at this customer service:
MATT MULLENWEG was displeased with the customer service at Sun Microsystems in January and, as many 23-year-olds might do, he decided to vent on his blog.
The next day, Sun chief executive Jonathan Schwartz wrote on his public blog: “I saw the entry written by Matt Mullenweg and all I can say is . . . I’m really sorry, Matt.” He went on to say “if there’s anything I can do to win a second chance, I’d like to know”. On Monday, Mr Schwartz took Mr Mullenweg out for breakfast.
Ok so Matt isn’t exactly your average blogger being co founder of WordPress (the blogging platform that runs this blog amoungst many others) but still it shows how far blogging has come when the CEO of a huge company is apologising to a Blogger in person over his company’s customer service!
