I’ve got to admit, i have never been one for the social news sites. I understand how you can use them you leverage publicity and exposure for your site but they just don’t interest me. But what i am aware of is that they try to market themselves as the “cool news” sites where nothing is censored and what users vote for is the front page news.
So i guess it should come at no suprise at the relative glee that traditional media seems to be reporting the collapse of Digg under a user driven revolt after they censored news submissions regarding how to hack high definition DVD disks. But if they are going to jump up and down with glee, at least do it less obviously.
As for digg, either you report the full news or else your just a niche news site.
