You know, most of us take things for granted for many things. We can do things and talk about things without fear of arrest and persecution. Reading my feeds today i noticed a couple of places where your freedoms are no where near as guaranteed their rights, even to blog:
From the Blog Herald, Blogging Against Big Brother In Bangladesh Could Get You Arrested reporting on blogger and journalist Tasneem Khalil being arrested for blogging and being critical of the government.
Then from The Local comes the news that Fiji’s military is putting pressure on the country’s International telecommunications provider to block blogsites critical of the interim administration to silence blogger critical of the government.
You see, living in a democracy you have certain rights that you take for granted. So next time you slag off a politician or the government, remember that its a freedom and that others are not so lucky!

you are less lucky than you imagine.
worse, in a real democracy, they don’t have
sedition laws, but we do here, be careful
what you say. better say nothing really, someone
as naive as you could break the law accidentally.
