I remember reading once that dogs can’t watch tv, they don’t see the picture or some such thing. I would dispute the not watching, my old dog Bundy used to love Horses on tv and as soon as anything on tv had horses on it, she would go over to the tv and try sniffing them. I forget how many times i had to clean dog nose marks off the the tv.

Grissom is my current dog and with the exception of the sound of lifts dinging on tv when they reach their floor that he thinks is my doorbell, he has completely ignored the tv. It was therefore a suprise sitting with the tv off that he reacted to the tv. I think he had seen his reflection on the tv and started barking at the dog he saw. It was a combination of suprise and a little bit of feat seeing a strange dog in his house that got him going and nothing was going to calm him down. He didn’t even click when i sat next to him to calm him

If only i would have had a videocamera handy to get the moment but had i moved i think it would have broken the moment.
