The signs are there, its definitely coming. Christmas that is. I was just looking at the tv guide for next week and there is one way to describe the majority of the shows listed within. Shit. The time of the B grade shows are starting for the next couple of months and that other staple of the Christmas period, repeats. Starting sunday for seven days a week repeats of Friends are going to be on every night. Just like every christmas since well … in recent memory anyway.

When i heard there was a writers strike in the USA for one moment i had the hope that it would mean all the normal shows would get shut down and the networks here would have to buy some shows that are not normally on. It could mean some duds but there might also be a the occasional spot of gold. Seems they have gone for the alternative of showing repeats. I turned on the tv last night and there was repeats of the David Letterman show from March. Cheap barstards.
