With my Christmas over and done with so early i decided to go into the city. While i hate the crowded city with all the people, i do love the city when it is deserted and quiet which is all so rare these days, especially during the silly season.
So i went for a wander around the city and it was indeed deserted. At times you could look up the street as far as you could see and there was nothing moving whether it be cars or people. Just the way that i like the city.
So there was very few people anywhere except when a church let out. Just confused tourists wandering around looking for something to do and believe me, nothing other than a couple of hotels for christmas lunch (reservations only!)
Strangely having just come around the corner from the church there was a homeless guy that looked to be of middle eastern extraction down some steps to the closed entrance of JB HiFi who appeared to be doing his mulsim prayers that you see in shots of praying on mosques. It just seemed surreal that on the biggest day of the Christian calendar and i happen on a muslim praying. I guess that is the good thing about a multicultural society.
