I was just watching TV and a preview for What a Year came on that has Bert Newton and Julia Zemiro as hosts of the show. Unlike the rest of Australia i have never managed to find the appeal of Bert Newton although some people must, because he keeps popping up on a range of tv shows and channel nine would have spent a lot of dollars to get him back to their network.
Now that i think about it, maybe its just a generational thing as the older generations would have seen him in the earlier days of tv where things were different and people like him and Graham Kennedy were legendary. These days i am thinking those days are past and maybe its just time to move on to someone new.

Well, I don’t know if I form part of the “older generation”, but I have to say I think it’s nice that they keep Bert on air. Ol’ “moonface” is part of a by-gone era, and I’m glad that he has avoided the “scrap heap”.
My question is “Julia who”….?
