I was just reading the Wikipedia entry for Sir Donald Bradman who is generally acknowledged as the greatest cricket batsman of all time. He also died in 2001 and across the world sportsmen and women stopped in silence before their games to honour his memory. It was a sad time for Australians and the cricketing world.
But reading the Don’s wikipedia page i am interested to read that the figures quoted as at 16 August 2007 which makes it sound like they are going to change in the future. Its exciting news as by reading that it sounds like a comeback.
And the timing, just as Gilchrist retires, the Don back from the dead to help steady the Aussie test team.
I can’t wait!
