I was just looking online and although you wouldn’t know it looking at any Australian websites, its the Super Bowl tomorrow with the New England Patriots and New York Giants settling their differences tomorrow on the field. I’m not a fan of either or indeed the sport and at the risk of being tackled by a pack of fans here is why. It just doesn’t do it for me as for my tastes just when something interesting happens, the game stops. While they do a scrum/huddle what ever or the team changes from the offensive to defensive or what ever. I prefer the constant go go go of Australian Rules to the stop start but hey thats just me. But then its not really going to be an issue since i couldn’t watch it if i wanted to since i am work Monday morning when its live here anyway.
So why am i even mentioning it? Because there is something that i do like about the Super Bowl and that is simple, the ads. Yes i know usually i hate them but during the Super Bowl there are some of the best ads aired that can be witty, racy and generally a cut above the usual side. I was just reading the CEO of Godaddy Bob Parsons blog about the Godaddy ad for the Super Bowl and as usual it looks like they are not going to disappoint with the tv spot airing and two internet only ads to also watch. Having seen their previous ads which are fun and hilarious (as well as racy) I am looking forward to see what 2008 brings.
Bring them on.
