It was interesting when i wrote that i was going to watch Dexter that i got some comments from fans who love the show.
For those new on the scene Dexter is the lead character in the show of the same name who works as a blood splatter expert for the Florida police where his sister works as a detective and he dates the emotionally scarred Rita who is a domestic survivor. He is a little odd and doesn’t really understand or connect with people. Oh and he is a serial killer who only kills other serial killers.
I found the first few episodes hard to get into but as the episodes rolled by i got used to it and while i wasn’t hooked, i didn’t mind it and would at some point watch more. His quirky nature and the quirky nature of everyone around him generated some laughs.
One thing that i noticed was at around episode 7 or 8 there was a shift in the show and suddenly at every opportunity the producers suddenly seemed to try rushing sex and female nudity into the show. Now i am not against seeing attractive women with little or no clothes on but it was just odd and a little out of context for the most part.
Sadly its only on pay tv here in Australia which i do not have so i won’t be seeing more episodes any time soon.
