I just happened to be reading the News website and noticed the top story Father wants refund on Brighton Grammar school fees after he paid for his kids to go the school for kindergarden to year 12 and they failed, total cost $400,000.
Now on reading the headline i incorrectly assumed that the father obivously took no attention and was suddenly shocked to learn he had kids and that they failed school but it turned out that he actually tried withdrawing them from the school only to be assured they would be ok and that the kids could cope.
They didn’t as instead they were placed in courses of a type not requiring year 12 attendance which effectively meant that they failed.
So they failed. Naturally he is a lawyer and is now suing. I am wondering how that goes.

good on him.
my sister ducked out of school for a whole semester, and they never told mum about it.
when mum found out, she pulled my sister out of the school (officially), and when they tried to charge her school fees for her, she told them they could stick the fees where the sun don’t shine, and if they tried to go after her for the fees, she’d report them to the education dept.
amazingly enough, the school withdrew their request for school fees, and refunded mum the semester she had paid for.
