I was just reading an interesting webpage. Apparently 63% of patients who have Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery and then use a pain pump may develop Postarthroscopic Glenohumeral Chondrolysis (PAGCL). I don’t really understand but a study suggests that a pain pump may deliver too much medicine which in turn destroys cartilage and that leads to the PAGCL. Sounds painful and somewhat ironic when the pain pump is meant to help.
